Cape police issue 96 citations in ‘wolfpack’ operation
An impromptu daytime “wolfpack” operation by the Cape Coral Police Department’s Traffic Unit resulted in 96 citations for drivers today. According to a release from the CCPD, officers worked the intersection of Trafalgar Parkway and Southwest 20th Avenue during school drop-off hours, then moved to the construction zone on Santa Barbara Boulevard. Officers were watching for speeders as well as other traffic violations.
The unit issued the following citations in the two areas:
– 54 citations for unlawful speed
– 23 citations for seat belt violations
– 15 citations for non-moving infractions
– 4 citations for violation of a traffic control device (right turn only)
