Fort Myers Police designates traffic enforcement areas

The Fort Myers Police Department’s Traffic Unit is committed to increasing traffic safety and awareness on city streets. Based on citizen complaints, recent crash data and information from neighborhood watch groups, the FMPD Traffic Unit will focus law enforcement efforts at the following locations for the week of Jan. 12:

– S.R. 82 and Sabal Palm Boulevard

– McGregor Boulevard and Euclid Avenue

– Colonial Boulevard and Six-Mile Cypress

– Edison Avenue and Ford Street

FMPD’s Traffic Unit wrote 80 citations and issued five warnings last week.
