1 min read

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for information that could lead investigators to the man who tried to rob a CVS Pharmacy at 19070 South Tamiami Trail.

Deputies responded to the store on Dec. 2 at 2:18 a.m. after getting a report of an attempted robbery. The clerk stated that an unknown male walked to the register holding a French Bread Pizza box. The suspect then demanded money from the register. The clerk told the suspect he could not open the register. The suspect again demanded money, to which the clerk responded he would call the pharmacist. At that point, the suspect left the store and fled on foot.

Another clerk returning from a food run saw the suspect running away. The suspect is described as approximately 25 years old, with dark hair and clean shaven. The suspect was wearing gray colored Timberland boots.

If you have any information regarding the suspect or the robbery, you’re asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 477-1000, or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).
