Community Foundation to host 2022 Charity Event Awards Tuesday

The Community Foundation’s 2022 Charity Event Awards will be held from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at the Crowne Plaza Fort Myers at Bell Tower, 13051 Bell Tower Drive, in Fort Myers.

Recognizing innovation and excellence in event fundraising, The Community Foundation’s Charity Event Awards will celebrate the best fundraising events and the most outstanding charitable organizations that host, plan and promote events that raise funds to fulfill their missions. The awards program will feature keynote speaker Teri Hansen, APR, founder, president and creative director of Priority Marketing, Southwest Florida’s largest full-service marketing, public relations and advertising firm. The company will also be honored during the event as the 2022 Charity Event Award recipient for Best Charity Event Support Team by a Marketing and PR Firm.

Nominations are now being accepting for outstanding individual and organizational efforts led by nonprofits across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, DeSoto, Glades, Hendry and Sarasota counties. The organization selected as the Best Overall Charity Event will be awarded $5,000, and all other category winners will each receive $500.

The 2022 Charity Event Awards is presented by the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation. The Community Foundation is seeking the community’s support for the 2022 event and has announced additional sponsorship levels ranging from $1,200 to $7,500 with a variety of benefits. Tickets for the event are $150 per person.

The Community Foundation is a leader in recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of charity fundraising events, galas, golf tournaments and competitive races to secure contributions and raise awareness for nonprofit and charitable causes.
