Make-A-Wish benefit Sept. 25
Join local celebrities and VIPs as they dare to take a walk on the wild side at The Edison Restaurant for the Catwalk, Exotic Hair Art & Fashion Show presented by Hair by Carlos on Friday, Sept. 25, at 6:30 p.m. “Wild” Bill Woods of Fox4’s Morning Blend will be the guest emcee for this premier event. The exotic Kit Kat twins will kick off the show wearing cat eyes, full body paint and hair art headdresses designed by Hair by Carlos. Local celebrities and VIPs such as the Downtown Diva, will be strutting their stuff down the runway modeling trendy local fashions and accessories from some of the finest boutiques in town. Guests may feel as though they are on the set of “So You Think You Can Dance?” as local dance professionals spice things up on the runway. Seats are limited and will be sold on a first come, first serve basis for just $25 per person. Special front row VIP seating is available at a premium price and is also included in event sponsorship packages. Tickets include special event seating, silent auction, hors D’oeuvres, champagne and wine. Silent Auction items include weekend getaways, golf foursomes, spa packages, jewelry, cosmetic procedures, Botox and much more.
“The purpose of the event is to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and to bring the community together for a wildly entertaining event during a tough economic year” says Carlos Dimas, owner of Hair by Carlos. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. They have granted over 7,000 wishes since its inception in 1984 and has never turned down a wish for an eligible child.
