It’s the Ladies of the Elks general meeting on May 2 at 7 p.m. Ladies, come show your support for our new board of officers as we gear up for a new year of fund raising for children’s charities.

Do you have a wonderful Kentucky Derby hat for the hat contest? Use your great imagination and join the hat parade as you trot through the Lounge to Antlers Grove at the Ladies of the Elks Kentucky Derby festivities. Come take a chance and cheer your favorite horse to the finish line. Will we see the start of a new Triple Crown winner? The Ladies will be set up in the game room at 4 p.m. Then it’s post time at 6:34 pm. The hat contest winner and runner-up will be chosen after the race out in Antlers Grove.

The Ladies of the Elks Club 52 is on May 9. Come play cards and games with us. Doors open at 11 a.m., with a cost of $3. Keep your sweet tooth happy with coffee and dessert while you play, so there is no mid-day slumps.

The May meeting of the S-SW District Ladies of the Elks is on May 19. The Bonita Springs/Estero Lodge is hosting. Please note that due to functions at the Bonita Springs/Estero Lodge all reservations are due by May 8. Cape Coral Ladies only, make your reservations with Carol by calling 543-5693 by May 8. For all Elk functions call 549-1508 And don’t forget Ladies, the cost of the luncheon has been raised to $12.

It’s the Ladies of the Elks Birthday Gals celebration on May 26. Come join us at the Monkey Bar, 1428 Lafayette St, as we sing “Happy Birthday” to our April and May birthday gals. Even if you sing “off key” you are welcome. Call Kathleen at 542-7541 for reservations.
