Movie on the Lawn to feature ‘National Treasure’
Cape Coral residents can catch a free flick next Friday, courtesy of the city.
The City of Cape Coral Parks and Recreation’s “Patriotic Movie” has its showing on Jan. 16 on the front lawn of City Hall.
Residents can enjoy the history-filled film — “National Treasure” — on a giant inflatable movie screen starting at 6 p.m.
“Movie nights like this are one of my favorite ways to bring the community together,” said Parks and Recreation Director Joe Petrella. “It’s a fun, laid‑back night where you can grab dinner from a food truck, relax with friends and family, and enjoy a great movie under the stars. We’re planning to keep these events going throughout the year because they’re such a simple, meaningful way for residents to connect and enjoy everything Cape Coral has to offer.”
The city invites attendees to Movie on the Lawn to arrive early to get a good spot, enjoy the Fun Mobile, purchase dinner from Joe’s Jumbo Wieners, get a sweet treat from Life’s A Batch and a refreshing drink from Lemonade Social.
Event attendees will have the chance to participate in trivia for a chance to win Chick-fil-A coupon cards.
City Hall is at 1015 Cultural Park Blvd.
